Recently, our projects entail renovating existing buildings including single family homes and multi-family developments. As our life styles change and interests change, the spaces we inhabit will also need to change and adapt. This is the first step to have a sustainable mindset for our communities.

Jenny Thomason, AIA

Jenny is the founder and Principal of KIEL architects, a Dallas based architectural practice. She holds a bachelor's degree from Washington University in St. Louis and a master’s in architecture from Rice University.  Her work professionally has included K-12 schools, commercial office, and mixed-use developments including several large-scale multifamily developments. An active supporter of the local architecture community, Jenny was selected for AIA Dallas’ 2016 class of the Emerging Leaders Program. She has served on the AIA Dallas Associates Committee and the AIA Dallas Publication Committee, Columns.  Between 2021 and 2023, she served as Editor-in-Chief of the all-volunteer and award-winning publication and helped shepherd the magazine to an all-digital format.  

Prior to starting KIEL architects, Jenny led many of the Dallas based multi-family projects while at OMNIPLAN including the Willow Apartments for Larkspur, 212 Melba for Mintwood, and 2800 Taylor for Stillwater Capital. Since beginning KIEL architects, she has continued to work with multi-family clients including AMLI on their renovations.

Jenny is licensed in Texas and Georgia.
